Its a bird. Its a plane. Its superman! Its even better than that. Its Jeeturaaj. A dude whose life is like an Indian blockbuster filled with songs, masala, action, comedy, drama and suspense. And this blockbuster releases every day from Monday to Saturday from 7am to 12pm. Tune into the show called Hi Mumbai every day and you’ll realize what separates an ordinary morning from a Jeeturaaj morning. So what really is the Jeeturaaj experience? Difficult to put in words but the format of the show makes him a magician that mesmerizes the city of Mumbai through his sheer energy. It’s that very energy that calms and strengthens Mumbai through Sanskrit shlokas, pushes Mumbai past traffic jams, persuades Mumbai to form an opinion, introduces Mumbai to the individual behind the garb of a Bollywood superstar and convinces Mumbai which movies to watch and which to give a miss. His Friday Bioscopes sends shivers down the spines of even topnotch actors and directors. In a city, where there’s so much talent, yet it remains unacknowledged, “Band Banaao Jeeturaaj ko Sunaao", a community on facebook & one of the first band movements of India on any radio station is credited with breathing back life into the band culture. Every saturday night, Klub Mirchi, 9pm to 1am, gives talent a platform, their music reaching out to fans of tomorrow. The voice & presence of Jeeturaaj introducing & encouraging them all along. How does he manage to connect so easily with every Indian? Well, he can speak the language of every man, woman and child. So be it the taxi driver, the businessman, the housewife, the working woman, the bus conductor, the college kid, the tea boy or, the movie star; Jeeturaaj connects to every soul by seamlessly shifting from Hindi to Urdu, Marathi, Gujarati, English, Bhojpuri, Konkani, at a speed that would even put a formula one car to shame. Mumbai has become quite accustomed to hearing phrases like ‘tu jindagi mein kyaa kartaay bey†“aaeega!!â€, “ei mumbaiii! as-salaam-alei-kum, “jumaa mubaarak’ as part of their daily dictionary. We all live but once. And what separates Jeeturaaj from the most of us is that he knows that and keeps himself well informed and up to date with every new trend even before it does become a trend. And yet, he deliberately chooses to be the kid that refuses to grow up. The kid who would rather spread his wings and fly rather then get caught up in day to day petty issues.
